Career & Technical Education Opportunities
Since 2010 when Jenn began her career in economic and workforce development, she devoted countless hours and her whole heart to programs that introduced young people to high-paying, sustainable and essential careers in manufacturing, logistics, and the skilled trades.
From industry familiarization tours for high school counselors, to career videos, and most especially the Economic Development Council’s Ready-to-Work Manufacturing Boot Camps, Jenn poured her passion into programs to help these young people explore technical and trade career opportunities.
This scholarship fund, administered through The Community Foundation Martin – St. Lucie, will continue Jenn’s work. Scholarship recipients will be determined through an application and review process overseen by an advisory committee named by the EDC. Recipients can be a resident of either St. Lucie or Martin counties who are pursuing a career or technical certificate program focused on manufacturing, logistics/distribution, skilled trades or other committee-approved disciplines.
