Your Future Starts Here!

High school is right around the corner — and this is your chance to explore what comes next! The 8th Grade Experience gives SLPS 8th graders a fun, hands-on opportunity to discover careers, meet local employers, and learn about the programs and pathways available in high school.

The TCCEED 8th Grade Experience is designed to help SLPS students explore their future before they begin making important high school course and program choices.

Students will spend the day connecting with local businesses, exploring career fields, and participating in hands-on activities that bring different industries to life. From healthcare and skilled trades to technology, public safety, business, and more, students will get a firsthand look at the opportunities available right here in our community.

The goal is simple: help students discover what interests them, understand how high school programs can connect to future careers, and get excited about what comes next.

Come curious, try something new, and start exploring your future!
