Host an Intern — Invest in Our Future

Help Shape Tomorrow’s Workforce — Right Here on the Treasure Coast

Help Shape Tomorrow’s Workforce — Right Here on the Treasure Coast

The TCCEED Summer Internship Program, in partnership with the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County, provides a transformative 6-week paid internship experience for St. Lucie Public Schools juniors and seniors. But we can’t do it without the support and participation of local businesses like yours.

We are on a mission: to prepare our students for successful careers while keeping our future workforce right here at home.

Far too often, talented young people graduate and leave our region in search of opportunity. Through our internship program, we’re giving them compelling reasons to stay—by showing them what a future in our own thriving community can look like.

What’s Expected of Host Partners

By participating in the Internship Program, your business becomes a mentor, a leader, and a gateway to opportunity. Here’s what we ask of our business partners:

white-tick

Commit to a 6-week full-time internship placement during the summer (June–July)

white-tick

Provide meaningful, hands-on experience aligned with the student’s interests and Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways

white-tick

Assign a mentor or supervisor to guide and support the student throughout their internship

white-tick

Allow students to shadow real operations, contribute to projects, and develop workplace readiness skills

All student interns undergo a week of pre-employment training to ensure they arrive prepared, punctual, and professional.

Sponsorship & Funding Opportunities

This program is made possible thanks to generous community sponsors, grants, and donors. Each student placement costs approximately $3,500, covering wages, pre-employment training, insurance, and administration.

In past years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County graciously sponsored 51 students — an incredible impact we hope to grow. With your help, we can serve even more students in the coming summers.

 Sponsorship Options Include:

white-tick

Sponsor a single student ($3,500)

white-tick

Sponsor multiple students

white-tick

Become a general program sponsor
